FOS are made up of fructose chains, called fruit oligosaccharides, which are indigestible by the enzymes of the human intestine. FOS are important in the nutritional field since, being indigestible substances for humans but not for the intestinal bacterial flora, they are widely used as prebiotics.
The powder has a sweetish taste and is water soluble.
FOS is a source of fiber (90%), no fat (0%) and no added sugars (naturally contains sugars - 7%).
