Omega 3
– ALA (alpha-linolenic acid): contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of ALA.
– DHA (docosahexaenoic acid): useful for maintaining brain and visual function. The beneficial effects are obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
– EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid): useful for heart function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
Omega 6
– AL (linoleic acid): contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The consumer should be informed that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10 g of AL.
– GLA (gamma-linolenic acid): fatty acid with a chain of 18 carbon atoms and three double bonds.
Omega 9
– OA (oleic acid): the replacement of saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fat.
